Algebra!

Part of my job as an internal evaluator in a community-based youth center in Washington, DC is to teach the GED instructors, the substance abuse counselors, and the youth workers about their own program’s evaluation lifecycle.

When we talk about statistics, we just talk about “patterns” and “things we notice” without using jargon.

Sometimes the direct service staff get really into evaluation and want to dive into the numbers more deeply. I LOVE WHEN THIS HAPPENS. For me, it’s one indicator of our learning culture.
